EVENTS COORDINATOR POSITIONS
Perry County Bicentennial Committee seeks two part-time Events Coordinators to share duties, coordinating the travel and maintenance of a mobile history museum that will tour community events, fairs and carnivals, from April through October, 2020.
Job Description:
Attend events for their duration, including set up and tear down (includes tables, merchandise and any outdoor displays)
Ensure protection of historical items, merchandise being sold and trailer
Ensure protection of money that is collected and ensure dual control met before and after each shift. Update cash balance in record book under dual control and secure cash at end of shift
Key holder of trailer
Handle incidents that may require insurance claims or accidents
Safely secure items in the trailer before moving
Provide availability throughout the summer for questions from volunteers
Maintain telephone and email list of all volunteers, key Bicentennial members and emergency personnel
Coordinate with drivers as to when trailer should arrive, where it should park, electricity, etc.
Coordinate with trailer driver as to when trailer should be picked up after event.
Train volunteers so they can answer visitor questions about PC, events schedule and exhibits
Serve as contact person for Gary’s Eby’s Reenactors and the Bucktails
Operate and turn off lights, TV and DVDs each day of the event
Arrange with Co-Events Coordinator for days or times when cannot be present.
Commitment:
Shared schedule with the Co-Event Coordinator – 15 events for a total of 45 to 50 days
1 day of paid training
Payment:
$100.00 per day attended
